each track:
Young Judaea has been offering the basic Year Course framework every year since 1956. Year Course Classic includes intensive experiences in three of Israel’s key geographic zones: Jerusalem, Bat Yam (in the Tel Aviv suburbs) and the Negev. In each of these areas, participants live in the community, meeting its residents and exploring and experiencing its culture. They learn Hebrew, volunteer and study. Year Course Classic provides a wonderful, life-changing, full experience of Israel.
But some of our participants want more. Our specialty programs enable them to delve deeply into their specific interests and career goals. Specialty Tracks allow participants to customize their year in Israel in a very personal way, inspiring them to explore Israel on their own terms.
Our Specialty Tracks and Olami programs are geared to cater towards the interests of the individuals who participate in them and can even help to prepare them for a future university major. Along with many enriching activities and regular special events, Specialty Track participants will take college level courses covering several different topics within their specialty, giving them the opportunity to learn and gain credits in classes that are designed to coordinate with their track. Interested in a career in the medical field? The Year Course Medical track may be the right choice for you! Do you have a talent such as singing or acting? The Performance Arts track has been designed to give you special training and performance opportunities to enhance your skills, all while enjoying all of the other amazing experiences that Year Course Classic has to offer. These opportunities and so many more await you in one of our Year Course Specialty Tracks.
Note: Itineraries and activities of Specialty Tracks are subject to change or cancellation in Young Judaea’s sole and absolute discretion.
