Family Tour is your opportunity!
The following letter was sent to all parents via postal mail last month.
Dear Year Course Parents,
A question frequently asked by family members of Year Course participants is, “When is it my turn to go to Israel?” Well, the answer is now! The Hadassah/Young Judaea Family Tour is the perfect opportunity for you to experience Israel and to visit your child/sister/brother/family member. Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins are all invited to join as well! The Family Tour caters to those who have been to Israel numerous times as well as first-timers.
The Family Tour has been developed so that you will experience Israel in much the same way that the participants do. You will have opportunities to explore Israel the Young Judaea way. You will visit Masada, walk much of the city of Jerusalem, have renowned speakers at your fingertips and much more. Aside from this being a comprehensive tour with a variety of options for you to choose from, there will be free time to schmooze and catch up with the Year Course participants as well.

In keeping with our policy for all Hadassah/Young Judaea programs, all food served on the Family Tour is strictly Kosher, and all Shabbat activities are in accordance with traditional Jewish law.
Enclosed is information regarding the flights, dates and costs. Also enclosed is a tentative itinerary. More information can be found here on the Ayelet Tours website. Information on travel insurance can be obtained from Ayelet Tours. Please register online with Ayelet Tours by November 1, 2010 along with a $400 deposit per participant to Ayelet Tours to reserve space.

For those of you who will be in Israel, but not able to join us on the Family Tour, please be sure to plan to be a part of the Year Course Gala Dinner on December 27th in Jerusalem. Save the date! The price of this very festive event is $72 per person ($62 for children under 12) – more details will follow. If you are participating in the Family Tour, the cost of the Gala Dinner is already included in the cost of the trip.
Ayelet Tours is offering an Eilat/Petra extension from December 28-30 at additional cost. Check the Ayelet website for details.

The Family Tour is always a lot of fun. It’s a great way to meet “like-minded” people and make new friends. We hope to see you and your family members in December.

All of us at Young Judaea wish you and your family a Shana Tova u’Metukah – a happy and sweet New Year.
Sincerely,
